  • The National Trauma and Orthopaedic Research Center of Mongolia is responsible for covering the costs of the following assistance and services from the health insurance fund:

    Hospitalization assistance and services

    Outpatient examinations

    Outpatient diagnostic examinations and tests

    Outpatient follow-up examinations

    Outpatient surgeries

    High-cost diagnostic tests

    Emergency trauma assistance

    Rehabilitation and traditional outpatient examinations

    Remote and on-site calls, telemedicine


     

    Inpatient treatment

    Based on the patient's admission letter, you will open a PATIENT HISTORY 24 hours a day from Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Ambulatory Electronic Register No. 3, Emergency Department, and be admitted to the ward. Each case of surgical care and services performed due to the insured's illness and prescribed by a doctor is considered as one case. The hospital has 436 inpatient beds. The most common injuries experienced by insured persons who are hospitalized include all types of injuries such as skull injuries, spinal cord fractures, hand and paw injuries, and burns. Insured citizens who have received inpatient treatment services and paid health insurance premiums will pay 15 percent to the insured citizen depending on the diagnosis group. In other words, working employees, herdsmen, students, self-employed, and unemployed citizens will pay a 15 percent co-payment. In accordance with Article 24.4 of the Law on Health, the payment for medical care and services provided to a citizen without health insurance shall be collected from that citizen. The amount of payment to be paid by the insured was determined by order 163/A dated November 29, 2022. However, the following insured persons, whose premiums are paid by the government, will receive inpatient treatment without co-payment. These include: Children aged 0-18, Citizens with no fixed income other than pensions, Citizens in need of social welfare support and assistance, Mothers/fathers raising their children up to the age of 2 (3 in case of twins), People with disabilities, Convicts serving sentences. A regular military solider.
